For Australian Tradies & Local Service Businesses
Web Design Sunshine Coast — Built to Get the Phone Ringing
Most local business websites are digital brochures. Yours has one job: turn someone who found you on Google into a phone call. That's what we build.
Straight through to the person who'd actually do the work — no call centre.

A website is not a brochure. For a local service business on the Sunshine Coast, it has exactly one job: take someone who just found you on Google and turn them into a phone call or a quote request. Most sites in this market fail at that, and their owners have no idea because nobody measures it.
The Sunshine Coast Market Is Softer Than It Looks
From Caloundra through Maroochydore and Buderim up to Noosa and out to Gympie, the coast is full of good trades and service businesses with genuinely weak websites. Not ugly ones — plenty look fine. They just don't convert, because they were built to look like a business rather than to book work.
That's an opportunity if you're the one who fixes it. The bar in this market is lower than most owners assume.
What Actually Makes a Local Service Site Work
Four things, in order of impact:
- Speed on mobile. Most local service searches happen on a phone, often standing in the problem — a leaking pipe, a dead switchboard, a yard that's got away from them. Three seconds is the patience budget. Past that they hit back and call whoever's next.
- The call button where the thumb already is. Not in the header where it scrolls away. Not buried under "Contact". Visible and tappable on every screen, every page.
- Proof you're real and local. Photos of your actual work, your actual van, your actual service area. Stock photography reads as "could be anyone, could be anywhere" — and on a trade decision, that hesitation is the whole game.
- Answering the question they came with. Do you service my suburb? Do you do this specific job? What does it roughly cost? A site that makes someone hunt for those loses to one that doesn't.
None of that is expensive. Almost none of it is on the average local business site.
What We Build
- Conversion-first websites — fast, mobile-first, built around the call and the quote form
- Service and suburb pages that give Google something specific to rank, instead of one page trying to be everything
- Google Business Profile setup — the map result is often where the traffic actually comes from
- Local SEO so the site gets found, not just built
- Google Ads when you want leads faster than SEO delivers them
- Lead follow-up automation — missed-call text-back and quote follow-up, because a site that generates enquiries you don't answer has just moved the problem
Why Most Sunshine Coast Sites Underperform
Three patterns, over and over:
Built once, never touched. The site went live in 2021, the business added two services and dropped one since, and the site still describes the old business. Google notices staleness; so do customers.
Built by someone who'd never sold a trade job. Beautiful hero image, gorgeous typography, and no phone number above the fold. Design and conversion are different skills and the second one is rarer.
No idea whether it works. No call tracking, no form tracking, no way to say "the website produced eleven jobs last month." Without that, every marketing decision is a guess — and you can't tell a good agency from a bad one.
How a Build Runs
- Audit first. We look at what you've got, what it's ranking for, and where enquiries are leaking. Sometimes the answer is "your site is fine, fix your Google listing instead" — we'll say that.
- Content and structure. Your real services, your real service area, your real photos. This is the part that needs you, and it's where most projects stall.
- Build and launch. Two to four weeks typically. Tracking installed from day one so the next conversation is about numbers.
- Then the ongoing work — reviews, local SEO, and follow-up automation, month to month.
Who This Is For
We work with plumbers, electricians, builders, cleaners, landscapers and most other local service trades across the coast. If your customers find you by searching for a service in their area, the system fits.
If you're a cafe or a retail shop, we're probably not the right agency, and we'll tell you that on the first call rather than after you've paid.
Before You Talk to Anyone
Run your current site through our free website scorer. It takes about a minute and it'll tell you whether you have a website problem or a visibility problem — those need different fixes and different budgets. If you want to sanity-check a quote you've been given, the website cost estimator is there too.
No lock-in contracts. We work month to month and earn the next one.
No lock-in contracts
We build what works, and you stay because it does. Leave whenever you like.
You talk to the operator
The person who builds your system is the person who answers the phone. No junior account manager.
Live in 2–3 weeks
From brief to launch, once your content's sorted. We handle the build — you review and approve.
Frequently asked questions
How much does web design cost on the Sunshine Coast?+
It varies enormously — you'll see anything from a few hundred dollars for a template job to $15,000+ from a full-service agency. What matters more than the number is what you're buying. A cheap site that nobody finds and nobody calls costs you more than an expensive one that books work. We've built a free website cost estimator so you can sanity-check any quote you're given, including ours.
How long does a website take to build?+
For a local service business, typically two to four weeks from content handover to live. The bottleneck is almost never the build — it's waiting on photos, service details and copy approval from a business owner who's on the tools all day. We front-load that so the delay doesn't compound.
Do I need a new website or just fixes to my current one?+
Often just fixes. If your site is reasonably fast, mobile-friendly and structured sensibly, rebuilding it throws away whatever rankings it already has. We'd rather tell you that than sell you a rebuild. Run it through our free website scorer first — if it comes back mostly green, you have a conversion problem, not a website problem, and those are cheaper to fix.
Will a new website get me to the top of Google?+
Not on its own. A website is the thing people land on once they find you — getting found is a separate job involving your Google Business Profile, local SEO, and reviews. What a good site does is make sure the traffic you already get converts instead of bouncing. Those two things work together, and doing one without the other wastes the other.
Are you actually on the Sunshine Coast?+
Yes — we're based in the Noosa hinterland. Most delivery runs remotely because it keeps costs down and turnaround fast, but being local means we understand the market we're building for: which suburbs behave differently, how far people will realistically travel for a trade, and the seasonal swing that changes what people search for and when.
What happens after the site goes live?+
That's the part most agencies go quiet on. A site that goes live and never gets touched decays — Google changes, your services change, and the enquiries drift down. We stay on it month to month with no lock-in, and everything we do is documented so it never lives in one person's head.
